Open now: Char Dham Yatra 2019
The Char Dham Yatra began yesterday with the reopening of the portals of Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines. While Kedarnath and Badrinath will be reopened on 9 and 10 May.
The first group left yesterday morning at 4am, from Tapovan. Here the cars before departure (in front of Shri Balak Nath Mandir):

Monday, as per tradition, the ceremonial procession of lord Kedarnath started from Ukhimath (see video below). Yesterday, the procession halted at Gaurikund and reached Kedarnath today. Kedarnath shrine will be reopened to the devotees at 5:35 AM on May 9.
