Yoga Teacher Training Course (RYT)

Amongst the many yoga schools for a teacher training course in Rishikesh, one stands out in particular: Lily Yoga Rishikesh. It’s special not only because of its great team, but also for its amazing location. Lily Yoga Rishikesh is located in central Tapovan (Laxman Jhula district of Rishikesh), yet is tucked away from the main road. Here the school has their own resort with hotel, spa, restaurant, yoga halls, a luscious peaceful garden and Ganga valley views.

Lily Yoga Rishikesh is registered with Yoga Alliance USA, and it encourages traditional values and practices, so students can learn an authentic and holistic yoga lifestyle, which goes far beyond postures and anatomy. Their Yoga Teacher Trainings (RYT) contribute to refine the student’s awareness and connect to truth within him/herself. Therewith guiding them to become integrated and confident yoga instructors.

The river Ganges is considered sacred and is personified as a goddess known as Ganga. It is worshipped by Hindus who believe that bathing in the river brings good fortune, washes away sins (actions that create negative karma by violating moral and ethical codes, which brings negative consequences) and facilitates Moksha (liberation from the cycle of life and death). Several holy places lie along the banks of the Ganges, including Gangotri, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Allahabad and Varanasi. According to the Hindu scriptures like Skanda Purana, the goddess Ganga is foster-mother to Karttikeya (Subrahmanya, Murugan), who was actually a son of Shiva and Parvati (as was Ganesha). You might check also the legend of Ganga’s descent to earth, where Bhagiratha is praying to Brahma that Ganga come down to Earth.
